At least that would be a plausible explanation for what is going on.Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!
For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

His ideas are so unconstitutional that my "constitutional scholar" friends think they are 100% constitutional.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostI think Trump's latest anti-Muslim pronouncement tops anything I have ever seen from a presidential candidate. I'm absolutely baffled by this GOP primary."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

Paul Ryan calls out Trump.
http://www.buzzfeed.com/kyleblaine/p...-st#.ixM2az48p
“Freedom of religion is fundamental constitutional principle. It’s a founding principle of this country,” Ryan said. “Normally, I do not comment on what’s going on in the presidential election. I will take an exception today. This is not conservatism. What was proposed yesterday is not what this party stands for. And more importantly, it’s not what this country stands for.”
“Not only are there many Muslims serving in our armed forces dying for this country, there are Muslims serving right here in the House working every day to uphold and to defend the Constitution,” Ryan continued. “Some of our best and biggest allies in this struggle and fight against radical Islamic terror are Muslims — the vast, vast, vast majority of whom are peaceful, who believe in pluralism, freedom, democracy, individual rights.”

That scenario is becoming more plausible by the day. It makes more sense than thinking Trump really believes his own BS.Originally posted by Dwight Schr-ute View PostI give him two more months before he announces in the middle of one of his events, "Hillary in 2016!" and drops the mic."...you pointy-headed autopsy nerd. He just doesn't want to get Romney'd. He has to have that southern crazy vote to get him through the primaries. Seems like they made the whole country pay by staying home for the GE for nominating a centrist.Originally posted by Northwestcoug View PostThat scenario is becoming more plausible by the day. In a hilarious twist, the mayor of Philadelphia, Mayor Nutter, wants to ban Trump from Philly because of Trumps comments regarding Muslims. You can't make this stuff up.

So how to explain it? Why does Trump remain popular in the polls? Are there just that many idiots or is something else happening here? I can only conclude that he is popular as a symbol for people who are sick and tired of being dismissed as irrelevant and patronized by politicians. They may not even like what he says, or at least not all of it, but they like that he just keeps sticking his thumb in the eye of the establishment. In other words, it isnt that Trump is so popular, its that he is NOT the establishment, republican or democrat.
Here is a possible example of the problem: some guy named Farook shoots the crap out of a disability center and is known as a hater of Israel and supporter of ISIS and the president says he doesn’t know if it is terrorism or not. Obama thinks he is being presidential, but almost everybody thinks this is terrorism and they feel very frustrated by the government's attitude. Then Trump says what everybody is thinking, which is that of course it is terrorism! So many, many people feel like the government is patronizing them and might even be up to something to go so far to deny the very clearly obvious. But Trump says what we all know and people love that, and support it, even if they think he is a clown. I still beleive that when people walk into the booth, a lot of his support will evaporate.
The upshot of all this is that Trump will likely end up doing nothing except clearing the path for Hillary. It is all a bit depressing.PLesa excuse the tpyos.
