Some of my extended family are not taking it very well. One of them called Moliere a "slothful servant" today and another just said this:
I typed a response but figured it wouldn't get me anywhere. I'm still trying to find out why she thinks smoking is against the word of wisdom (smoking tobacco obviously is) and I can't find the reference for "things like unto it". She must have a different section 89 than I have

We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf
Finally! The first ETB reference from my FB friends!

What I've found interesting is that by far my most vocal/crazy family/friends have been the Canadian ones (my mom is Canadian and that side of my family is huge). I'd copy and paste but it's generally the same stuff that's already been posted.
Tell me about it. My SIL was in tears last night. She was telling me how unfair the electoral college system is (she doesn't understand how it works) and couldn't believe that Obama was winning even though the whole map was pretty much red save a number of blue spots. I explained to her that very few people lived in those red areas, but she still persisted it was unfair. I didn't have the heart to tell her Mitt wouldn't win the popular vote after California was counted. She comes from a family that is deeply conservative (but good people nonetheless), like the kind that would post ETB references if they knew how to use the internet.
I've mentioned it before, but there is a strong TEA party contingent in my ward/stake, and by strong I mean John Cena strong. They got slapped around pretty good last night and some are coming to terms while others are still trying to figure out why God hates them.

If only they could see how silly they all look. Lol at all these small-minded religious people.
That's not the intent of this thread. If Obama had lost, I would've been posting all of their meltdowns.

You could point them to this article for Glenn Beck's explanation:
During his radio show the next morning, Beck told listeners that he had realized Romney was going to lose while praying before the polls opened on Tuesday.
“Man, sometimes God really sucks,” the radio host lamented.

I am really surprised at how quickly the people on my feed have said really incorrect/offensive/crazy things. I know these people are solid Romney supporters. A lot of them are very good people. I haven't heard them say similar things in open company. Maybe they're saying it when they feel their audience is safer. But to parade your ignorance on facebook is quite the megaphone. If you want to think it, fine. But I'm just amazed that they're not ashamed at shouting it to the rest of the world.

The lack of ability for some to rationalize Mitts defeat is astounding. So many were confident in him winning, some predicting a landslide (they probably follow Dick Morris) and now they have to shift paradigm and explain the lose in a totally different religious context, most opting for the end times but some still just dumbfounded. It's times like these that I'm glad I'm a Mormon deist that believes god loves all his children, even democrats.

You should start your own "CUF brings the goods" thread. I'm sure everyone will participate.
