I am guessing that Mitt is done with the political scene (and trying to look cool) and will just go back to making lots of money.

Christie, on the other hand, is trying super hard to look cool. I don't think this is the winning recipe for repubs.

Yup, more often than not it's very painful. I think Christie blew it during the Sandy photo ops. He came off decidedly unpresidential, looking and speaking more like some bureaucratic schlub. Disappointing.

I agree. He came across as weak and in need of a powerful friend to help him out, which is odd given Christie's legendary personna. Granted, it was an overwhelmingly difficult situation.

I thought small businesses all over were struggling and trying to deal with Obamacare.

After she talked about all the things that are being done for small business, Joe asked what she thought of small companies all over trying to decide to what to do with Obamacare.

She said she has been all over the country talking to small businesses. She said she hasn't heard anything about small businesses having a problem with Obamacare. She said, as a matter of fact most small businessmen really want to provide good health care to their employee's. They consider them family.

My business falls below the threshold for number of employees but if we went above the threshold there would be nothing additional we would have to provide that we don't already. I don't know how we could attract quality full time employees if we didn't.

That makes sense.

That's why the arguments of women don't get paid equal for same job, government needs to force companies to provide health care, you need unions (these days) all falls on deaf ears for me.

Any business that wants to succeed will treat their employee's as well as they can to attract and keep good ones. In other words the market place will work and keep the government out.

Another agenda item for the 2nd term:

The Death Star petition on the White House website has gained enough signatures to merit a response from President Obama's administration.

The petition, which calls for the administration to "begin construction of a Death Star by 2016, crossed the mark Thursday for 25,000 signatures, which is the level the White House requires before it will respond.

"By focusing our defense resources into a space-superiority platform and weapon system such as a Death Star, the government can spur job creation in the fields of construction, engineering, space exploration, and more, and strengthen our national defense," the petition reads.

Good heavens. The guy is out there. Anyone who has proposed kicking an entire family off of food stamps if one family member goes on strike as part of a union, or who has proposed impeaching Obama over the debt ceiling debate, isn't particularly likely to be a useful member of the Senate.

Haley is really pandering to the far right on this pick.
