This would of been a non-issue if the WH would just own up to their blunder.. Instead, they hold steadfast to this notion that they didn't know and placing blame everywhere else, when they knew this wasn't about a video... Why the misdirection?? I don't get it???

Just another example of miss-trust many have with this WH.. When you are caught lying so blantantly it leads many to wonder what else have you lied about for self preservation...

I said this in another thread, but I was shocked that Biden threw the IC under the bus last night. And I can't believe that he blamed the WH's initial statement on the intel they received and then had the audacity to say they received no requests for extra security in Libya when those things were debunked just earlier in the day. I am disappointed that Raddatz didn't follow up on that and even more disappointed that Ryan didn't pounce on that. This will come back to bite Biden and Obama in the ass though. Maybe they're hoping this investigation will go on past the election. But I guarantee the IC is not happy this morning and it is things like this that tend to produce "leaks".

So, Obama knew that Ambassador Stevens and the others were under attack, but decided that it was more important to ignore it and go to bed. He then got up, blamed the attack on a video and went to Vegas to party with celebrities.

Shortly after Stevens' murder, European newspapers began to speculate that though Stevens was the bona fide U.S. ambassador to Libya, he was also a member of the U.S. intelligence community, as were his now-murdered colleagues. Earlier this week, my colleagues at Fox News discovered that the building ["safe house"] in which they were killed was and was known locally to be a CIA facility, and that the future Ambassador Stevens had used that facility to meet with Libyan rebels during the Qaddafi years.

Now we can connect some dots. If Stevens was a CIA agent, he was in violation of international law by acting as the U.S. ambassador. And if he and his colleagues were intelligence officials, they are not typically protected by Marines, because they ought to have been able to take care of themselves. And if Rice knowingly lied to the American public about a matter as grave as this, she should be fired, no matter who asked her to lie. And 14 days before a crucial presidential election, when both major-party candidates have an audience of 60 million voters, why were they mysteriously silent about all this? Might U.S. intelligence agents who routinely brief Romney have whispered the same instructions into his ear that they received from the president when they briefed him?

I would like to take this opportunity to ask the questions Americans want answered.

The first and most pressing question for Mr. Obama remains: Where the hell were the Marines?

Two of the most potentially vulnerable or dangerous American embassies are in Iraq and Libya. In Iraq, we have roughly 17,000 people guarding our ambassador. Not all of them are Marines, but some several hundred are, and they guard our ambassador behind a 10-foot-high walled fortress. In Iraq, we cannot afford to take any unnecessary risks with our diplomats and go to great lengths to ensure that there are plenty of armed personnel between our representatives and any potential threats.

In Libya, there were no uniformed Marines guarding our ambassador. Originally, there was a 16-person security team led by Col. Andrew Wood, who had requested to stay in Libya. In July, Stevens sent memos to the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee requesting an “extension of tour of duty (TDY) personnel.” Stevens was referring to Col. Wood’s 16-man team, which was scheduled to leave in August. Stevens requested on Aug. 2 — just six weeks before his murder — to keep security personnel in Libya “through mid-September,” calling the conditions there “unpredictable, volatile and violent.”

Col. Woods has also said that he repeatedly requested to remain in Libya because he felt both the environment and the ambassador were unsafe. Now, after the tragic fact, no one knows what happened to Stevens‘ original request.

Why was the security team that both Stevens and Col. Woods requested sent home? Who made this decision?

What happened to the plane, Mr. President? There was supposed to be a DC-3 available to help people get out of Libya or to travel around the country as needed. But that plane was taken away on May 4. On May 8, just four days later, the State Department spent $108,000 on a new electrical charging station to “green up” our embassy in Vienna.

You have to ask: Was this “green” initiative more important than the security of our embassy in Libya? We spent about $1 million on electric cars to make a political statement in Vienna, but we somehow couldn’t find the time or resources to have just one Marine guarding our Libyan embassy, much less a much-needed 16-man personnel team. We spent $100,000 on an electric car-charging station to show Vienna how green we are, but did not keep a plane in Libya that could have been instrumental in transporting our own diplomats to safety.

Interesting... Tyrone Woods couldn't tell his father who he was working for?!? It doesn't sound like he was working for the state department. Judge Napolitano may be right.

On Obama... Charles Woods (Ty's father) said when the bodies of four slain Americans returned home:

“(Obama) kind of just mumbled ‘I’m sorry.’ His face was looking at me but his eyes were looking over my shoulder, like he could not look me in the eye. The night of the last debate Ari Fleischer was suggesting that one reason Mitt has backed off on Libya is he has learned something in a briefing the rest of us aren't privy to.

I guess it's possible that at some point in his career that Stevens had been an intelligence officer (Donald Gregg, the Ambassador to Korea some years back, was a former intelligence officer), but it would make no sense for him to be working as an intelligence officer while serving as Ambassador.

It sounds like Ty Woods was indeed working for the CIA based on what his father said in the interview. According to Charles Wood he came over from some other safe house to try to rescue Stevens even against orders to not to try.

I would doubt that Stevens was working for the CIA. That would be really bad for the United States if it came out that he was.

President Barry didn't want to miss his big fundraising shindig in Vegas. The damn al Qaida douchebags almost messed it up for him. And with preventable deaths involved, he might not even have been able to attend Jay Z's party the next week, when Mr. Z sprang for a $200K champagne fountain.
