If you can get past the title, this so wonderfully and touchingly (to me anyway) expresses how gay people are experiencing this controversy and what is at stake for them.

It is safe to say most of them have no real opinions on anything else those mayors do.Originally posted by Moliere View PostNot directly related but somewhat relevant:
The other manager in my group was having a discussion with our supervisor on the CFA mess. I heard the whole thing as it happened right outside my office door (see the bad office etiquette thread). She of course went to CFA and her husband posted pics of it on FB along with many of her friends. She has a gay family member who apparently was offended at the way this whole thing was carried out. I think the tone of many in the CFA supporting group was hurtful to gays.
Maybe the tone I observed was set by the vocal majority, but my FB newsfeed (complete with pictures) was full of some pretty direct and downright Unchristian remarks in regards to liberals, the media, and people in favor of gay marriage. This is why I posted early in this thread that there were two groups at CFA on Wednesday and I'm afraid the vocal majority was thegay-hatingtraditional marriage supporters and not those upset at the mayors asinine comments.
For sure, I think there has been progress but I agreeOriginally posted by Shaka View PostI think both sides could work on their tone.

That is a very good piece. A gut-hitter. I disagree with his premises but he argues from them very well.Originally posted by UtahDan View PostIf you can get past the title, this so wonderfully and touchingly (to me anyway) expresses how gay people are experiencing this controversy and what is at stake for them.

Soon they're going to make churches marry people and dogs. That's the next step, so I've been told.Originally posted by Maximus View PostSo what does everyone think of http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worl...in-church.html"In conclusion, let me give a shout-out to dirty sex. No, I don't. I don't think it will happen here. I'm sure plenty of people will use it as a reason to fight same sex marriage, though.Originally posted by Maximus View PostAh come on its a legitimate question. Why does that law matter? It's from Denmark.Originally posted by Maximus View PostAh come on its a legitimate question. D you agree with this law?"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

I just got home from work and called my wife. (my cell phone had died). She was a Chick Fil A. I wonder who she's kissing.
And I'm kind of sorry I'm not there to see it.If we disagree on something, it's because you're wrong.
