Apparently Chicfillets (whatevs) have been packed all over the place. There are two groups driving the one day increase -- the people against gay marriage and those who either support gay marriage or are ambivalent but find the actions of Rahm Emanuel and the Boston mayor to be deplorable -- I'm in the latter group, though admittedly I haven't gone to ChicFillet today (I don't have one close by).
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

Boycotts are almost always a bad idea.

That's it, I'm boycotting CUF. Contact me for a list of my demands. CUF will rue the day.....
One of the grandest benefits of the enlightenment was the realization that our moral sense must be based on the welfare of living individuals, not on their immortal souls. Honest and passionate folks can strongly disagree regarding spiritual matters, so it's imperative that we not allow such considerations to infringe on the real happiness of real people.

Today wouldn't have been a success without the LDS Church throwing their siginficant weight behind this initiative.

Texans won't stand out in the heat....unless they are voting for a TEA party candidate

"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

On a day where they aren't trying to make a religious/political statement? Probably not that many.

I went the first day I took the bar. Long-ish, line, but I got my food in about five or so minutes.

I wonder if a lot of conservative white folks rallied to support Woolworth's back during the Civil Rights movement when they refused to serve blacks in Memphis. Probably.

A lot of conservative white women lined up to do battle for Cabbage Patch Kids too.

Maybe Chik-fil-a should be more welcoming to everyone but set up separate soda fountains so straight folks don't catch the gay.
