That's too bad. A lot of money and more importantly lives were lost trying to make Iraq free. Why have they come to America? We don't have a government that makes decisions for everyone yet. I would think the existing government in Iraq is closer to what they want than we are.

only if that government can actually function as one for all of its citizens. If it can't eliminate those who threaten its ability to control violence and protect its citizens then it is nowhere near what they would want.

I was a missionary there, have a bachelors degree in Russian, was an interpreter for the Belarussian Olympic Team, have about 70 Russian clinic patients, have visited within the last year, am active with the local Russian community, and speak much better Russian now than I did after living there for two years. Most Russians think I am Russian.

I'm pretty sure I have interacted with Mormons throughout most of my existence, and I don't count the pre-existence because I'm not sure there is such a thing.
