Townhall.com is provider of political pornography. On the VirginiaCougar scale, it's probably the equivalent of a dog butthole fetish site.

But the testimony is the testimony, and the website issue isn't even close to being remedied, especially by November 30.

This means that the website is 40% done. Thanks Obama!

"WHERE'S THE SOUND YO?" Is almost as funny as 1-800-F1UCKYO.
Obama quote from the article to his supporters:

“Despite all the noise out there, despite all the criticism, despite all the setbacks, I’ve never lost faith in our ability to get this done.”
I think this is a big part of the problem with this administration. In the face of overwhelming evidence of monumental failure, this group will never lose faith in what they trust the most: themselves.

No, no - Townhall isn't that bad. Its your garden variety Playboy'esque softporn. There are a few interesting things there on occasion, just like Playboy might occasionally have interesting articles. The problem is that people rarely purchase that magazine (or this site) for the articles in spite of what they say.

          • Kathleen Sebelius makes a media appearance with a navigator helping a couple get Obamacare on the website. As the tape is rolling one of the media people reads the screen, "this service is temporarily unavailable."

            lol.

Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

Obama says that due to high costs "she hasn't had insurance in 50 years" but she's only 48.

Wait...so how many people came and attempted to sign up throughout the day with the help of the "navigators" in order to get 2 actually signed up?

Wow - that's kind of crazy.

I'm also curious about this whole concept that it is Washington State's fault that the woman who thought she was going to get insurance at an affordable rate now isn't. Does Washington State have a separate signup apart from the federal website? And does the state of Washington get to determine how tax credits are administered and who qualifies? I'm curious as to why she thinks it is the state's fault, or if she is just doing her best to justify her experience with her support of Obama and the ACA.

Also - have there been any bills in congress to rename this the "not so affordable care act"?

Either that's his next step, and individuals will need to begin picking their insurance while in the womb.

Or - we need to just start subtracting 7 from numbers that Obama throws out when speaking off teleprompter.

But it is true she hasn't had insurance in 50 years... or 500 years for that matter.

                      • Here's an interesting article about why some states have emerged from the cancellation crisis relatively unscathed. One of the states is Utah and it explains why my and ER's health insurance policies were renewed.

                        http://www.nytimes.com/2013/11/20/us...email0=y&_r=1&

Also, because of Obama's administrative "fix," it's going to allow these states that already authorized the early renewals to do the early renewals again. In a nutshell, the individual insurance markets have been preserved in some states due to the foresight of their insurance commissioners to put off Obamacare as long as possible. These states have predominantly been governed by the GOP. So, a healthcare plan like mine can last until the end of 2015 now.

IMO, most of Obamacare will collapse by then. The medicaid expansion is here to stay, but I think almost everything else will be gone. There's going to be some kind of legislation designed to rehabilitate the individual markets and hopefully something that allows insurance to be sold across state lines.

Texas, like Utah, was one of the states that allowed early renewals and took Obama up on the fix.

Just because these states did this does not necessarily mean the insurance companies stayed with their customers; for whatever reason Florida had the early renewal deal and a ton of policies have been cancelled in that state. I suspect it's because of the massive number of retirees in the states and the insurance companies needed the young healthy people on the exchanges.

If I were to make a bet, Utah probably has the youngest average age in the country and Texas is probably in the top 5 in that category as well.

Edit-- yep, Utah is the youngest state in the country and Texas is the second youngest. Florida is the fifth oldest. The median age in Utah is almost a full five years younger than Texas. However, Texas's median age is six and half years younger than Florida.

                            • How many of the "young invincibles" need to sign up for Obamacare? According to the Administration -- around 38%.

                              http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/...ell-obamacare/

So, Color Me Shocked, SHOCKED, that the numbers are coming in muccccch lower than expected. By lower, I mean not much more than 50% of that 38% they need. At least according to the numbers coming out of California, 23% of the enrollees are coming from the 18-35 year old demographic.

Wait... So 38% of the enrollees need to be "young invincibles" or 38% of all "young invincibles" need to enroll for Obamacare (oops, I mean) the ACA? I assume the former.

Of course given the "got insurance?" ads I am guessing they assume those "young invincibles" must be mostly brainless... Just how does one get pregnant from a cardboard cut-out of Ryan Gosling?
