Here's what these two supporters of Obamacare have to say about their support and their thoughts after they received correspondence from their insurance carriers last week regarding premium increases:
Seriously, WTF? Who the hell do you think was going to pay for it?
I shed no tears for those who worship Dear Leader then find out that they're getting hosed by Dear Leader. Had they pulled their head out of their backside and not cast a vote for Dear Leader twice, they'd still be getting hosed, but not like this.
Boo-hoo worshiper. It's your fault.

Funny, but that isn't really a fair summary of the article you linked.

Obamacare, Obama's flagship, seems to be a total clusterf*ck. Obama and the dems may be going down with this ship....
Insurers Getting Faulty Data From U.S. Health Exchanges
Insurers are getting faulty and incomplete data from the new U.S.-run health exchange, which may mean some Americans won’t be covered even after they sign up for an insurance plan.
While it’s not clear how widespread the problem is, the reports from industry consultants are the first hint that the technical troubles faced by consumers trying to enroll in health plans under the Affordable Care Act may also be hitting the insurers. The companies are receiving electronic files that can’t open or have so much missing information on new enrollees they’re unusable, the consultants said.
Some insurers have been forced to fix entries by hand, said Bob Laszewski, an insurance-industry consultant based in Arlington, Virginia.
“If we don’t see substantial improvement by the end of this week, then I would throw up the yellow flag,” said Dan Schuyler, a consultant advising states and insurers on the exchanges. “If we don’t see it in the next two to three weeks, it’s time for red flags. The concern is some people could get to Jan. 1, and not have coverage.”

And D^3 thinks the dems will be smelling like roses come 2016. LOL.

The "young invincibles" are going to get screwed by Obamacare...
Premium Increases for “Young Invincibles” Under the ACA and the Impending Premium Spiral
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Crucial to the success of the Affordable Care Act's (ACA) health insurance exchanges is the participation of 2.7 million uninsured 18-35 year olds, sometimes referred to as the “young invincibles.” With lower than average incomes and generally good health, “young invincibles” are more likely to forego health coverage than others, or be attracted to plans offering basic coverage at minimal prices. Due to the ACA’s sweeping market reforms, rates for low-premium plans have increased exponentially between 2013 and 2014. In fact, on average, a healthy 30 year old male nonsmoker will see his lowest cost insurance option increase 260 percent.
[...]
260% increase, on average, for their health insurance. Student loan debt is at a all-time high and unemployment is still above 7%. Not to mention, their share of the national has greatly increased since Obama took office. Of course, two-thirds of the voters in this same demographic voted for Obama so I guess they can't complain.

Holy crap on a stick... We paid $634 million for the POS Obamacare website?!?
We paid $634 million for the Obamacare sites and all we got was this lousy 404

The reason for this nationwide headache apparently stems from poorly written code, which buckled under the heavy influx of traffic that its engineers and administrators should have seen coming. But the fact that Healthcare.gov can’t do the one job it was built to do isn’t the most infuriating part of this debacle – it’s that we, the taxpayers, seem to have forked up more than $634 million of the federal purse to build the digital equivalent of a rock.

Our tax dollars at work. Or not at work, as it were.
Thanks, Obama!

The real reason any supporter of Obamacare should rethink their position.
The company originally won the contract back in 2011, but at that time, the cost was expected to run “up to” $93.7 million – still a chunk of change, but nothing near where it ended up.
As noted above by Ted, the total ended up being more than $634 million. Do you think that is the only area that the dems underestimated the total cost of an Obamacare program?
Personal observation: When my kids have just started fighting, I attempt to find out who is to blame or who landed the first blow, and then I scold that kid. The longer they have been bickering, the less I care about who started it, and the more I want them to just stop. If they continue, I want to knock both their heads together. Over time, I find there are no innocent parties.
I feel the same way about the budget impasse. The longer it goes, the more I get frustrated by both parties.

I've been at the "knock both their heads together" stage for a few days now.
I wish that more often in politics (not just in this instance) the focus could move from who is right and who is wrong to what can we do to make everyone's lives better. (Or get out of their way so that they can make their own lives better.)
$850/month for an Altius plan for this family. After tax credits supposed to cost them just $123/month though.
Wonder how this works -- do they pay the full cost as they go in 2014 and then get $8700 extra back as a tax credit in 2015 after they file taxes? Seems like a lot of money for people to pay up front.

I thought that is how it was done, however, I read an article today that suggested that the credit is automatically applied for them and they are only responsible for the unsubsidized portion. At the end of the year the subsidy recipient will apparently have to reconcile a subsidy over or under payment at the end of the year.

I talked to an insurance guy and the subsidy is automatically applied. If your income doesn't line up at the end of the year, then you'll have to pay more to the IRS.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”
If the Obama administration only put half the effort into implementing this website that they did on the technological side of his reelection campaign, this thing wouldn't have been such a disaster. But it's pretty much a microcosm of the Obama administration in general -- terrific at getting every crack addict in Philly to vote but not so good at actually governing.
