Sure, the deadline is "close" in that it's two weeks away, I'll give you that. But that two week deadline means nothing to anyone right now. Please show me any evidence that any market, investor, or anyone outside of some talking head on cable news thinks we are close to defaulting on our debt.

You are confusing "danger" with "more likely than not." There is a real danger. We are now at 14 days. Citing the market as evidence that something will or will not happen is a bit silly. Unless you think the market is always predictive. It is- until it is reactionary.
