One of the comments asked a good question. What was edited out at the :23 mark? I'd like to see the video without the editing.

Soledad came unglued talking to Joel Pollack about the video today. Then one of her co-panelists asks why he's afraid of black people. Whoops.

That panelist is an actor. He was the PE teacher in Mr. Holland's Opus. I appreciated that there was one panelist who understood that the media protected Obama during the '08 campaign and called out Soledad for either not understanding or ignoring that fact.

Someone on CB indicated Soledad came out looking real bad, did she.

Man, I do think Hannity overhyped how great this was going to be. What I saw last night wasn't that big a deal. Of course I may not be as enlightened as Sean because he went on and on and on about what a big deal the video was.

What I got from this link Surfah provided was that Obama was asking for people to open their minds and hearts to a radical leftist. Why would he associate with those types if he is as centrist as he and his supporters want us to believe?

I think he was 22-24 years old. He was a black guy who probably got real exited hearing black professors sticking up for "his" people.

His policies lablel him to the left far more than the "much anticipated" mind blowing tape. I am yawning. His policies are enough for me to be upset.

If Reverend Wright and Ayers didn't sink him last time I think the righties should take a hint. Go after him on his policies not his old associations and Michelle's vacations.

I hope someone doesn't pull out an old tape where Romney as ZL is instructing the elders not to teach black people.

Unglued is putting it mildly. I really liked the other panelist (also African-American) who tried to unsucessfully calm her down while explaining what exactly the media should be about. Soledad came off just looking far too subjective not really that uninformed IMO.

She came off bad and really petty. But I tend to agree with her overall point is that the video now isn't that big of a deal now. And to that end, I hope Breitbart has more. One of her panelists made the best point about why the MSM kept this video out of the public during the 2008 election though.

Who came off really bad was one of the panelists who made some implications about Joel being racist at worst and afraid of blacks at best. That was the whoops moment. Joel is Jewish from South Africa and his wife is black and from South Africa. His mother in law was appointed to a human rights council by Mandela.

Right, the media protected Obama. Otherwise EVERYONE would have heard about his connections to Reverend Wright and Bill Ayers.

What's that old saw about never trusting anyone who wasnt a radical in their youth and a conservative in their old age? When I was in college I almost joined the SDS but a professor talked me out of it. Said I would be haunted by it later. This was a non-mo professor and a non-mo college, in case anyone wondered. So obama was a radical when he was 22. So what. He has been president for four years; I think we can judge him on that pretty completely.

                            EDIT:

interstingly, I just looked it up on wiki and they say the SDS didnt really exist when I was in college. This would have surprised the recruiters I met with.

Pleeeeeeease. You can't truly with a straight face say the media doesn't run interference for Obama. Now if you are counting Fox as the media, then you are probably correct.

This is exactly what I think. I can see how this would have been relevant in 2008 and it's a debate that should have happened then, but as is I don't see how this changes anyone's opinion on Obama after the past 3 years.
