My first correction is that you assume I was talking about you and not about UtahDan.Originally posted by Jacob View PostPerfect grade actually. Why don't you correct me, oh wise one. You think JTWROS is the same as tenancy by the entirety?
This thread just proves that most lawyers don't know much about the law.
Your post proves that some lawyers are not critical readers.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

Am I incorrect that every single practicing lawyer in this thread that is not named Jacob (assuming he is practicing) has disagreed with Jacob's legal take in one way or another?Originally posted by UtahDan View PostIs this directed at me or is it internal dialog? In any event, my understanding of the law is clear and correct. If you like, you can go ahead and say you never suggested otherwise now. I don't think he is practicing. In fact, I'm skeptical that he is even a law student, though I guess it is possible. But you are right, none of the lawyers here agree with him on pretty much anything.Originally posted by nikuman View PostAm I incorrect that every single practicing lawyer in this thread that is not named Jacob (assuming he is practicing) has disagreed with Jacob's legal take in one way or another?

Well, you could also point out what the lawyers are not saying. For example, when that whole tenants by the entirety whatever thing came up, I shut up because I don't know anything about that. Every good lawyer knows when he or she is in over his or her head, and is willing to do a bit of listening to learn.Originally posted by UtahDan View PostI don't think he is practicing. Right. And I'm not holding myself out as a real estate law professor but I do litigate real estate cases so it is part of my bailiwick. Notice I have not said a word about the tax issue here.Originally posted by nikuman View PostWell, you could also point out what the lawyers are not saying. Well, then we agree. If I have a critical enough reader of your post. Anyway, lets just agree.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostMy first correction is that you assume I was talking about you and not about UtahDan.

Huh?Originally posted by UtahDan View PostAll kidding aside, that is not an ethical thing for a law student to be doing.

Also, of course this tenancy stuff is boring. But more boring that arguing about gay marriage? Come on now.Last edited by Jacob; 02-28-2012, 02:55 PM.

Beat me to it. I was also going to postOriginally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostLegal theory.

We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes.
