I dunno, 10K would be a ridiculously long golf course.Originally posted by PaloAltoCougar View PostBased on his footwear, I'm guessing Christie had just finished his morning 10K run."Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance and the gospel of envy; its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." - Winston Churchill

You should post more.Originally posted by PaloAltoCougar View PostBased on his footwear, I'm guessing Christie had just finished his morning 10K run.One of the grandest benefits of the enlightenment was the realization that our moral sense must be based on the welfare of living individuals, not on their immortal souls. Honest and passionate folks can strongly disagree regarding spiritual matters, so it's imperative that we not allow such considerations to infringe on the real happiness of real people.
Woot
I believe religion has much inherent good and has born many good fruits.

"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

I hate these arguments. He took office in the midst of a massive economic collapse. Not six months before he took office, I was paying $4.18 a gallon in Maryland driving into DC every day. The prices were that low because the bottom fell out in late September 2008. If the prices were still that low, it would indicate massive oversupply (unlikely) or a wholesale lack of demand (more likely) which would mean we'd be worse off than we presently are.Originally posted by Uncle Ted View Post
