Fired-Up Crowd, Empty Seats Greet Obama in Ohio

The optics surrounding the penultimate campaign rally of President Obama's political career here on Monday likely served as a Rorschach test for election-outcome prognosticators in this most coveted of swing states.

Those who doubt the polls showing a slight but consistent lead for Obama in the Buckeye State would point to the empty seats scattered around the upper-level of Nationwide Arena. (The facility holds 18,500 for Columbus Blue Jackets NHL games.) Four years ago, after all, Obama was easily filling venues larger than that as he rode a wave of enthusiasm to a 4.6 percent victory here over John McCain.

If the prices were still that low, it would indicate massive oversupply (unlikely) or a wholesale lack of demand (more likely) which would mean we'd be worse off than we presently are.
The first part of your statement is correct, the second isn't. True prices were depressed in early 09 due to the economic collapse, but that doesn't mean we have to have high gas prices when there is economic growth forevermore. 07-08 doesn't have to be the new norm.

"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

I am voting for Romney but if I didn't, I think the 2nd reason would be because he named his son Tagg. The first would be the oft mentioned reminder he gives me of every AP from the mission field that I wanted to repeatedly punch in the face. POW RIGHT IN THE KISSER!

I believe he was the AP of his mission. He was also the companion of Tooblue (not while he was AP as Tooblue was not an AP).
