That photo is not appropriate for a high school yearbook, and regardless of what the rules are (or are not), the high school has full authority to decide what does and does not qualify for their yearbook. She doesn't have the right to have any photo in the yearbook.

In my Senior Year Book we had those friends/dedications pages that you or family could purchase and design and include your own pictures. You know the pages where parents would have a baby picture of their kid with a note saying how proud they were? Anyway, it became trendy for the cliques at our school to purchase a page and post pictures of themselves together. One of these groups at my HS were the Asian "gangstas." They submitted a page and in several of the photos one of the girls had on some plaid midriff tank that looked more like a sports bra than a shirt. The yearbook staff took a sharpie and colored a T-shirt on her in every pic.

This is horrible. I fear for my grandson's with these harlots out there flaunting themselves.

In my day it took quite a few dates before we got to see anything above the knee and especially a belly button.
