Pshaw... That act was exposed long ago. You probably don't even own a gun, you SoCal city-slicker.

I own neither a gun nor a chainsaw if I voted Democrat it might be a three strikes sort of deal, but I am real persuasive so I will be able to borrow when needs be.

Besides that my children are direct descendents of Levi Savage so I am pretty sure between the competent community help, agricultural resources, available beef cattle and my kids' genes, not to mention my occassionaly bordering on commando like training, we will be ok when "it" ends. You soft folks can come and live with me - 'cept K-Dawg. I cannot abide his kind.

He has yummy hair? There's definitely an upside to having yummy hair as this poster clearly shows: sticks and stones cannot defeat yummy hair.

I found this yielding land on KSL:

                  http://www.ksl.com/index.php?nid=218...ielding%20land

Excellent dry farm, range land, or recreational property. Planted with high yielding grass. Good seasonal county access road. Has large spring and deep pond on property. Must be sold with adjoining 63 acre parcel. Buyer to verify all information.
71K for all of that. There will be plenty of space to ride this out until the economy turns. Meanwhile, we can live off the high yielding grass and natural spring water. The only problem is that it is in Cache Valley which will make it tough to drive down to Provo for BYU games. It will great when BYU plays @ Utah State, though.

Or was that an autocorrect mistype?

I really can't believe that not a soul saw anything TIC about my post. I guess life really is that bad out there???!!!

I stopped short of collecting guns/ammo/food only because I thought that would really be too obvious.

That's always a possibility with me, but not this time.

I will admit it. You totally got me. I actually thought the world was coming to an end and that I should not buy a house and that we were going to have WW3 in a few years.

Come on everyone else. Fess up.

                                This one was cruel, admittedly.

                                Here are my real views:
global assets need to re-value lower for inevitably higher yields. is it the end of the world?
no. governments are great biz models: recurring revs via taxes. could we have 3-5 years of low/no growth? yes. but that's great for me given my focus area.

is it good to save/be prepared? of course!
