I bet we will see a severe economic war that puts us on the brink of global conflict in the next seven years.
    Let's buy land in Norway.

Is it a bad sign for me personally that when I read Viking's post I was relieved that it was only about the economy, not football? (I didn't notice what forum it was in).

This information would have been more helpful three years ago.
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

I too am pessimistic about the economy. The only hope is massive government spending on long-term capital assets and/or a major technology breakthrough that permeates society. And neither is likely.

I think I'm going to try and buy the rentals. Unless we follow Rabman's plan and just let the government own all the buildings and pay rent to them.

Don't question. Get you some gold and bury it in the back yard. You'll thank him later.

I'm banking on new technology that will change the world. Seems like that is our most realistic hope to avoid world war in the next 7 years.

But just in case, I'm already searching KSL for yielding land.
