    Romney-Rubio. An awesome ticket.

I don't think Christie would make a great national candidate. Wasn't Giuliani the straight-talking problem solver? What happened with him?

Also, I'm not sure if Christie's verbal brawls with media and snippy constituents would play as well at the national level. Then there's the weight problem which would be mocked constantly.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

I'm voting for President Obama but I beginning to doubt he'll win a 2nd term. I will not be sad if Romney is elected our next President, but a lot of that is because I'm a wanker and I have a feeling that a Mormon President will freak out gobs of uptight conservatives. Romney seems very much an Outsider in the current GOP race for President, and I can relate to that. I like his smile.

Viking, I don't get your sig. It's not very witty or profound or funny.

I have never watched a single second of Maher's show, but if it's all as funny as that bit was, I think I'll stand pat. That was seriously unfunny (and the laugh track didn't help).

Is there anyone more hateful and nasty than Maher? I really doubt it.

                        Unfortunately, that's no laugh track.

Yeah, i know. My point was that people laughing hysterically at unfunny things sounds more like a laugh track than a studio audience. I can get past the hate if it provides a funny punch line. In this instance, it sure didn't.

But did you see that funny looking picture of Rick Perry? Hilarious! And also, conservatives are so stupid that they don't realize Jesus was a socialist.

Nothing quite as innovative as a liberal revealing that welfare and health care are somewhat analogous to Christian tenets. Sort of like the cutting edge humor of a Ute fan reminding us that the Prophet is a Ute.

Bill thinks that heal the sick for free sounds like Obama care?

Who wouldn't vote for free healing of the sick? I would. I think everyone here would.

I just think that some folks might have a different opinion of what "free" is.

Maybe Bill needs to go out to dinner a few times and personally pay for the food of everyone in the restaurant and then have everyone talk about how great the free meal was. Then maybe he'd understand what free means.
