Does anyone know the Huntsman girls? They seem kinda saucy, not to mention anti-G-wearing, though their husbands look like the kind of guys who stare at the Victoria Secret billboards a little too long at the University Mall.

    • Per Brooks Romney is "the serious one"

Per this guy he has just "dramatically raised the stakes" v Obama

        • Who will emerge as Romney’s real rival? Republican debate doesn’t offer clues.

But the vacuum on the right could turn out to be the biggest gift that Romney never expected.
How fascinating. This time around Romney is the moderate, faciliated by that vacuum on the right. He can remain as close to the middle as possible because the right has no strong voice. Plus they're all a bunch of jokers.

And his seemingly only real adult competition can't seem to campaign himself out of a paper bag.
          Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

To be quite honest, I was half expecting a shot of Perry taking him out from behind a duck blind.

Why should Romney do anything? Letting his opponents immolate themselves seems to be a working tactic.

The fact the video came from the Huntsman camp is quite ironic. Although, I must admit, Huntsman impressed me on the Colbert show. He is a conservative I could get behind.

            • As Romney emerges as the nominee-apparent, one can expect much louder and more frequent attacks on his record at Bain for running a "chop shop," breaking up businesses and firing employees to maximize the wealth of those at the top.

I've accepted as an article of faith that such business practices usually lead to increased productivity, business growth and ultimately more jobs, not fewer. I'm open to an opposing view if supported by the facts.

I'd really like to see a presentation by the Romney campaign providing specific examples of his chop shop technique leading to the results I've assumed/hoped were achieved. He's had plenty of time to put together such a presentation; is there one? I just hope his advisers are more adept at anticipating issues and questions than were Herman Cain's.

I think he's very ready for that attack. We'll see how well it sells.

Agree. Not sure who scripted this for him.

Is there any conclusion to be drawn here that doesn't include Iron Mike working for the Mittster?

Iron Mike working for someone who wants to characterize all Republicans as crazy.

                          • Mitt Romney: A nice guy in a season of nastiness

As Perry was free-falling into the abyss of lost thoughts Wednesday night, he turned to his fellow contestants as if to say, “Please, someone, can’t you tell me what I think?”

Unhelpfully, Ron Paul suggested there were really five agencies he should cut. And then someone did try to help him, and this to me was the most memorable moment of the evening. From somewhere on the panel, a voice reached out to the struggling Texan, a suggestion that might help Perry gather himself and emerge from this utter humiliation.

The voice belonged to Mitt Romney. As Perry’s brain was hardening into arctic pack ice, Romney suggested that maybe the third agency he wanted to eliminate was the EPA. Yeah, that’s it! But no, it wasn’t. Pressed by Harwood, Perry said it wasn’t the EPA, but blast if he could remember what it was. (Later he said it was Energy.)

Romney’s suggestion when most of the others were squirmingly silent was an act of pure kindness and self-sacrificing generosity. It was not especially noticeable. But if you were Rick Perry in that moment, you were well aware that Romney was the one who tried to save you. When Perry finally said, “Oops,” it was Romney toward whom he looked.

                            • The guy will do anything for a vote!

Romney was shooting an ad on a hot day in a staffer’s yard. While the photo shoot was being set up, Romney was asked to bide time in the cooler shade of the staffer’s garage. When the staffer retrieved Romney 30 minutes later, he discovered that the candidate had swept and organized his garage.

A small thing. Or perhaps not.

                              • I heard Romny suggest EPA and I wondered if he had done it on purpose, hoping to egg Perry into the even worse position of not only forgetting what he wanted to cut but also claiming to want to cut another agency that he needed to keep.

Maybe that says more about me than Romney.
                                PLesa excuse the tpyos.
