Instead you should focus on his ability to work a crowd, to totally rock a teleprompter, and his knack for shifting his cadence and vernacular to fit his locale and audience. In that instance he takes on a lilting Southern semi-drawl. In other places he effects a black preacher dialect and phrasing.

I agree, his command of different registers there was quite impressive. I liked him a lot better in that speech then in any other speech I've seen him give. He simply doesn't understand the economics of WHY we are decreasingly capable of manufacturing (multi-generational drive to steer our children away from blue collar jobs, increase of constrictive regulations - not always a bad thing but they have an effect, volatility in the market and future uncertainty of tax and regulatory structure, etc).
*Nationalism and Patriotism are not strictly synonyms. Patriotism is the act of standing up for what is right, even if it goes against the best interest of your country. Nationalism is standing up for the best interests of your country, even if the position is clearly wrong.Comment
