One of the Suspected shooters per witnesses. Police chief said they suspect a bomb was planted as well.

Why would you say that? The cops were protecting the BLM protestors. The cops were shot by snipers.

The dude in the pic turned himself in... But the SWAT team bagged another suspect.

I can't see the tweet you posted. But as I understand it the guy in camo was not a shooter. Just a guy at the rally with a rifle, For some reason. But yes, he turned himself after hearing the DPD was listing him as a suspect.

It's been fomenting for some time now. It sure does give me a sick feeling as to the future.

Obviously you didn't live through the 60's and early 70's, well also the Carter administration.

I hope and pray you don't have to live through a period like that.

We are seeing insurgents in America move from the planning phase to the operational phase. I wonder if this will be the catalyst for more violence. There are insurgent groups on both sides of the racial coin.

Edit: I like MLK's take on this:

The ultimate weakness of violence is that it is a descending spiral,
begetting the very thing it seeks to destroy.
Instead of diminishing evil, it multiplies it.
Through violence you may murder the liar,
but you cannot murder the lie, nor establish the truth.
Through violence you may murder the hater,
but you do not murder hate.
In fact, violence merely increases hate.
                        So it goes.
Returning violence for violence multiplies violence,
adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars.
                        Darkness cannot drive out darkness:
                        only light can do that.
Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.

I really hope this is an isolated situation. MSNBC might be right as they keep asserting America is on the Edge. I hope as usual they and others in the media are sensationalizing this more than the terrific tragedy it already is.

I do think there are definitely problems with some of the police. Again I think these are isolated situations. I just can't grasp the concept that the police in general are out hunting down and shooting African Americans.

Can anyone articulate what Al Sharpton or Jesse Jacksons suggestions are to change the relationship between the AA community and the police. I expect he will travel to Dallas and stand in solidarity with the African American Chief of Police. I listened twice to the Chief and in my opinion he is a class act.

Lastly I personally would be happy to pay a sur tax that went directly to increasing police pay. I wouldn't be happy to pay more taxes to give whiney college students free education.

A strange addendum to a tragic, and deeply disconcerting (to me) day. The Dallas PD used a bomb robot to kill one of the sniper. I've never heard of anything like this ever happening before.

Yea, I am waiting to hear from the ACLU or some other activist type group. It reminds me of drone strikes.

I would ask these groups or people who are appalled at these things, how many police or soldiers lives is it worth to take someone like this alive and let him stand trial?
