    Actually, there probably are.
Body packing is a well-known phenomenon in emergency medicine, particularly if the packets burst, releasing contents into the packer's system, along with the drug's physiologic effects. This whole incident occurred in southern NM.

Story--my first trauma patient in residency. Gun shot wound to the leg. I perform a rectal exam, part of a routine trauma exam. Something feels a little crunchy--not all that unusual on rectal exams (yeah, what you're thinking)--but this is a little extra chunky, so I dig a little deeper and pull out this condom with little white rocks in it. I'm this naive kid from Utah and have no idea what this is, until the cop notices and starts laughing. Yup, crack in his crack.
At least the Big Ten went after a big-time addition in Nebraska; the Pac-10 wanted a game so badly, it added Utah

Yup (although I don't even think you'd need the oral contrast). The colonoscopy seems unnecessary. I wonder if they were hoping to flush out the contents with the prep.

                • This wasn't even the first offense for the police department, and the same canine. What kind of damages can you sue a dog for?

How many cops does it take to walk a 47 year old woman to the Utah Valley University Police Office?? At least 5 from what I could see... Sheesh... That dude really allowed that to escalate. They know where she worked. They could have came back. Talk about power trip...
