I've long agreed with this. The only reason to have a handgun is to conceal it. As a stinking middle aged hippie with a strong socialist bent I am the owner of four firearms, 2 shotguns and two rifles. Because I have a permit, Utah law says that I can open carry with a fully loaded handgun - and truthfully, I'd rather open carry than conceal it - but I choose to conceal because there are too many people who are uncomfortable seeing a weapon on a person. Heard a radio interview today from a Norweigian saying that not only is there no death penalty in Norway but that the maximum sentence is 21 years.
