No one should have the right to bear handguns.

I've long agreed with this. The only reason to have a handgun is to conceal it. As a stinking middle aged hippie with a strong socialist bent I am the owner of four firearms, 2 shotguns and two rifles. I see no need to conceal them (or any way HOW to conceal them) and I feel perfectly safe in my home.

The 2nd Amendment would say you're wrong.

The only reason to have a handgun is to conceal it? I love how you folks who are anti-small weapons think you know what's in the minds of those of us who are pro-small weapon.

The reason to have a handgun is to protect oneself. Because I have a permit, Utah law says that I can open carry with a fully loaded handgun - and truthfully, I'd rather open carry than conceal it - but I choose to conceal because there are too many people who are uncomfortable seeing a weapon on a person. I also don't want to have to go through the routine of showing my permit to every cop that may happen to see me.

You'd think they were associated with death, or something.

Who said anything about force? The only one forcing anything here is when you force me to live in fear of being shot because you're walking around with a gun.

I guess I'm just not as askeert of my fellow man as some others. And I'm not anti-gun, but I wish there weren't so may askeertykats out there concealing them.

Why let only the bad guys have all the fun?

So if il Padrino Ute carries concealed and only uses the weapon to protect himself or another from a deadly force threat... he is wrong?

To me, that is just "victim waiting to happen" thinking.

Have at it... but it's not for me.

I assume this is a country without the death penalty. I wonder if they have a rule against putting the person or persons resposible into a cell and leave them there with bread and water for meals.

                        How sad.

Heard a radio interview today from a Norweigian saying that not only is there no death penalty in Norway but that the maximum sentence is 21 years. The expert said that functionally meant 12 to 14 years. Given this crackpot's age, he'll barely be middle aged by the time he walks.

This is a sad tragedy. I only know one person in Norway yet Knowing one person makes this feel closer than a random country.

You might want to read up on the purpose of the Bill of Rights. They weren't simply amendments.
