Religious zealots of any kind scare me on some type of scale. The more convinced they are sanctioned by God to do what they do, the scarier they can become.

I just think you will find a fewer number of Christians who agree with the killing of innocents to prove their point than you will say Muslims. I could be wrong though as that is my supposition.

That being said, it doesn't lessen the scary situation any deeply radical group presents.

Is there a racist left in Europe? I would think so as racism in Europe makes racism in the US look very mild.

So do your neighbors have any signs up like the following?

The worst racism I have witnessed in person was in Europe. I think they have a problem (as do we).
One of the grandest benefits of the enlightenment was the realization that our moral sense must be based on the welfare of living individuals, not on their immortal souls. Honest and passionate folks can strongly disagree regarding spiritual matters, so it's imperative that we not allow such considerations to infringe on the real happiness of real people.

              Tru dat.

At least once a week on my mission somebody would say something like, "I never understood why the US and the Soviet Union never got along. We're all white people, right? Why did our countries hate each other so much?"

This statement is so wrong on so many levels, it truly saddens me.

How? Do you really think it is going on a limb to say there are more muslims who support terrorism than Christians?

That's a pretty loaded question, Max.

Honest question - would you include enlisted military personnel in your tally?

Well, by sheer numbers, of course. But by the same count, there are more Muslims that detest it than Christians.

by percentages. Do i see large percentages of Christians supporting the Oslo shooter? Do I see large numbers of christians celebrating in the streets?

Polls have shown varying support for Osama from different muslim countries to be from 20% up to 50%. Is there a poll of America that shows similar support for Oklahoma City or other christian terrorist attacks?

And dont Christians outnumber muslims in the world anyways?

Is there a world wide problem of christian fundamentalist/extremist terrorism? I am not talking about a few incidents. Is there a group comparable to Al Qaeda? There are dozens of Muslim extremist terrorist groups in Palestine alone.

The point is that there is no Christian extremist terrorism problem comparable to the Islamist extremist terrorism problem. Do you disagree?

That's because he attacked the Norway. What if he had attacked a women's health clinic that performed abortions? What if he had attacked a mosque? I think you'd see much more support coming from extremist Christian quarter.

Interesting. Do you have a link? I'd like to see those polls. I think you'd see a large amount of support from Christian people for the types of attacks that the IRA pulled off in the 80's and 90's.

According to the Vatican, not any more.

Your link says there are almost a billion more Christians than Muslims.

Support has declined, but some countries still have 20-30, some up to ~50, etc.

I dont know where to find good polling numbers on the IRA.
