    Weiner

What a pathetic shmuck. But is this news? Does he have a record of spouting family values platitudes and such?

I guess politicians are not like rock stars in their ability to attract willing sexual partners, because they seem constantly to be involved in these sorts of sexual banalities.

I'm glad somebody finally started a thread about this. That guy is a total loser.
Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss

There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

        I called him a shmuck.

I don't care about his ethnicity.

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

I don't see how that is the linchpin of whether this is news.

It's also on every newspaper in the country, so, yes, I think it qualifies as news. Were you already aware of Weiner's tweeting proclivities making? If so, I guess it wasn't news to you. If not, what is your definition of news?

Weiner has a record of spouting, not specifically family values platitudes, but vociferous spouting in general. He is supposed to be very media savvy and is an ambitious politician (considering a possible run for governor). Mix his brash/aggressive personality in with his last name, which is comedic in and of itself, and you have the makings of great story for a slow summer news cycle.

Has anybody asked Boehner about Weiner?

                        This stuff writes itself!

I think Dicks posed the question.
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf
