When someone says, "Nobody credible thinks that" and then I see a group of people who, by the very nature of their education, should have at least SOME credibility, I wonder if people aren't just speaking out of their ass. Forgive me for that. I am not just joining myself with some double blind poll of random people chosen out of a massive population. I've asked why so many Americans who heard the official story but were given an alternate theory and were educated in the area that was in question, would bother to put their names out there as people who want more answers. I don't think that is deserving of the caricature you've painted here.
The better question that needs to be asked is why MORE people haven't been swayed by their arguments? Even if you can buy into the plausibility of the physics, etc. it's still going to fall apart when you look into the logistics of what it would take to actually pull it off and also ensure that absolutely not one single person involved with the planning and execution of such a highly complicated plan has had a pang of guilty conscience enough over the last 10 years to fess up to it.

The government can't keep any secrets these days -- why or how could they hold onto this one?

I just hacked into the top secret Illuminati database and found out that they are in fact following you taekwondave. I'd be worried if I were you. In fact, they took a picture of your family reunion with a spy satellite.

taekwondave has certainly elevated trolling to a "whole nuther" level.

I'm surprised so many of you get sucked into this nonsensical discussion.

It seems clear from this discussion that twd has no interest in being enlightened or educated as he first asserted.

I do applaud him for a well-thought out and well-executed trolling effort. It's certainly more entertaining then saying, "Utah/BYU sucks" in the Arena or Stadium.

Maybe, like most trolls, if you him, he'll go away.

You don't know the power of those evil Rothschilds and their ilk. I mean, the Bilderbergers, the Council on Foreign Relations dudes, THEY are the ones that truly control the government. They just make it look like the government is incompetent and can't keep secrets because it serves their purposes. Don't you see? It's all part of their plan.

What's weird is that the groups you mentioned don't even realize they're being secretly controlled by the Masons, who also don't realize that they're being secretly controlled by the Zionists, who also don't realize that they're being secretly controlled by <fill in the blank> and so on and so forth.

As Jeff noted, there are approx. 1,750,000 engineers and architects in the U.S. Only 1500 of them signed that petition stating the the official story is inconsistent. That number represents 0.000857142857% of the total number of engineers and architects.

In other words, they are not a significant number by any measurement.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

, just stick up (somewhat) for the overwhelming underdog. This thread promises to be one of the best.

Yes, how a guy with a Ph.D. from Stanford could fall so completely off the wagon is puzzling. It also explains why the guy is such a god in the 9/11 truther movement. You rarely get someone with that level of education to go bonkers like that.
Honestly I barely have time to read valuable info. I will dig into his stuff someday. Maybe have a big laugh with my FIL (a structural P.E. since 1963) over it.

PhD was actually Vanderbilt, but the research was at Stanford. Then he did post-doc work at Cornell and Los Alamos, and later was at the Idaho National Labs reactor complex. He should have been a hero to the scientific community for muon-catalyzed fusion and piezofusion (both of which led to further useful discoveries), but his attachment to junk science in the 9/11 truther movement has permanently marginalized him in with the flat-earth crowd.

I know I must just be unaware of something the rest of you already know about but I just haven't been able to completely rule out the possibility that something other than those two planes brought down those three skyscrapers on 9/11. What information am I missing? If you guys are so sure then maybe I'm just missing some facts. Some of you on another thread said you'd participate in this kind of discussion if I started the thread so by all means. It would be appreciated.

I'd like to know that everything our country has done over the last ten years was at least instigated by something based on the truth. I STILL wouldn't agree with most of it, but at least I'd have THAT to hold on to. I'd like to know that over one million Iraqis haven't been killed because we were duped into attacking them based on a lie. I'd like to know that there was at least SOME integrity left in Washington, whether democratic or republican. Because right now there is just too much that is pointing me the other way. If you've got some hope for me, I want to hear it.

Did planes hitting the twin towers REALLY cause them and building seven to fall that day, or was it blasting charges like so many others have suggested, and since one fact followed another, we were just easily led to mistake causation for correlation? I've seen evidence for that side and it looks pretty strong to me. But as I've said before I'm in better company than I'm used to on this site and if you guys are so sure, I'm sure that I can be convinced as well. I am your humble student.

Silly rabbit. Wikileaks is a government conspiracy to make you think that if there were any secrets about 9/11, they would have been posted on their website by now.

Whoa. That is actually 0.085174%. You were wrong by TWO orders of magnitude! That is significant!
