This generator maker's stock just soared to a record as PG&E power cuts cause business to boom

• Generac Holdings hit a new all-time high on Friday, bringing its 2019 gain to 82%.
• Power cuts in California are leading to a surge in demand for the company's backup generators.
• "This caught us totally off guard. We didn't see the largest utility in the US coming out and saying 'look our only solution is to turn the power off,'" Generac Holdings CEO Aaron Jagdfeld said.
• He said that the company has seen "three, four hundred percent increases in volumes out in California."

Man, that really sucks. But nothing like the sweet purr of a generator to sleep to.

$800 seems like a good price on that one. One of these days I am going to pick up a natural gas one to replace the one I have. In west texas they have to pay to get rid of that stuff!

Yeah...normally $1100. My cousin works for Cummins here in town and they are able to purchase something like this every 6 months at employee pricing so he hooked me up.

Why don’t Californians just pay the money necessary to maintain an adequate grid. It’s simple, you don’t pay enough right now so just increase rates.

How would nuclear power solve this particular problem?

It’s “green” compared to burning natural gas or coal. These increased winds and dryer weather is due to climate change which, of course, is Drumpf’s fault!
