What is jobs Ohio? I'm skeptical of government programs that use the word jobs. They usually just waste money.

Ohio’s people, proximity, planning, and custom financial incentives make it a top state for doing business.

The don't have any money to waste. The Dems have it all tied up in court.

Is it some sort of privatized economic development?

Yes. It used to be under the Ohio Department of Development. It has been privatized (Or at least it was supposed to be if the Dems would get the hell out of the way) and allow for a cleaner, more savy approach to luring businesses to Ohio..

Having worked in that office as an intern.. I like it privatized.. Some politicians do not like giving out State funds to an agency they can't control..

Utah County privatized their economic development some years ago. It has gone really, really well.

I'm not entirely against privatizing stuff if it works. On the surface this seems like fair game.

I thought you were a libertarian?

That is the party I am registered with. Libertarian is more than just free markets.

You've got me a little confused, Frank. You seem somewhat skeptical of both government and privatized stuff. (or maybe you've just been screwed too many times by both.)

I'm pretty lefty but I am a bit jaded about the efficiency of government. There is so much croneyism and dishonesty. I'm sure I want government doing more things than most people here but even I have reservations.
