    This reads like a parody:

Parham, a 41-year old state employee, says her kids repeatedly ask for Happy Meals, mainly for the toys. "We have to say no to our kids so many times and McDonald's makes that so much harder to do. I object to the fact that McDonald's is getting into my kids' heads without my permission and actually changing what my kids want to eat."
“There is a great deal of difference in believing something still, and believing it again.”
    ― W.H. Auden

"God made the angels to show His splendour - as He made animals for innocence and plants for their simplicity. But men and women He made to serve Him wittily, in the tangle of their minds."
-- Robert Bolt, A Man for All Seasons

    --Antoine de Saint-Exupery

She must be bitter that the San Fransisco City Council didn't have the guts to pass the law that would have banned happy meals last month.

Really? It's that hard to say no so you need to sue? Her and hubby are to blame anyways. Those kids wouldn't know what McD's was had they not taken them to eat there in the first place. Last commercial I saw wasn't for a toy, but the stupid Monopoly game they play...which lures adults into supersizing their meals to get the board pieces to win free food, prizes or cash. Can I sue because I couldn't say no to the Monopoly game prizes and made poor eating choices???

Yet another example of people who don't want to be held responsible for their own actions. If she doesn't want to have to be a parent, she should keep her legs closed.

He is risen! And in all actuality she's probably a Nader voter.

A believer in the nanny state would vote for those people and would support this lawsuit.

McDonald's sells the Happy Meal toys individually if you ask. I think they cost $1 or so. We have done this to collect all of the toys in a set. Then the kids destroy the toys so it was all worth the effort.

This is a good idea during a recession. Sue anybody for anything. I think that I will take her idea and adapt it to due the devil C12H22O11.

Sucrose has gotten into my kids' heads without my permission and is actually changing what my kids want to eat.

The scariest part? All it took was one try, and they were hooked. For life. To sugar.

Now they are addicted, and there's nothing I can do about it. It's all they want to eat. I yearn for the days when to get a sugar high people had to gnaw on a shoot for hours before getting the "sugar high". Sugar was so much easier to control then.

sounds like the best of both worlds! Cheap toys without the fat!

I have too. Plus $1 is super cheap for a cheap toy.

I sometimes find myself getting protective of the Happy Meal toys once we get the entire set.

There was a series of Shrek toys that came out a couple of years ago. Each chracter would speak lines from the film....Shrek, Fiona, Gingy, Artie, the 3 Little Pigs.

I remember taking them away from the Puffy Check because they were going to drop them into some water. The kids were around 2 years old at the time. I need therapy.
