    The real lyric is, "Why would you lie about how much COAL you had." Which makes no sense to me. I guess it is some historic allusion? I thought it was a song about the dude's coming to realize that his girlfriend was an uptight person who kept unnecessary secrets from him (like the size of her stash of drugs) and who cultivated a high-society appearance (thus all of the references to diction and a focus on petty shit like Oxford commas).

    I think my mishearing is better than the real song.
    I'm not sure. I guess I don't give a . . . well, you know.
