"Wuap's "problem" is that he is smart & principled & committed to a moral course of action. His actions are supposed to reflect his ethical code.

I'd only ever heard of the band, so, once I stopped crying about how mean yall were being, I figured it out. Plus, the link and your PM to soothe my worried mind helped too.Originally posted by MarkGrace View PostOh, now look who wants to have fun with Vampire Weekend songs!

This thread sent me looking up the lyrics of Oxford Comma, and I discovered that I was hearing them completely wrong. I was hearing,
"Why would you lie about how much coke you had."
"Why would you lie about something dumb like that."
"Why would you lie about anything at all"
The real lyric is, "Why would you lie about how much COAL you had." Which makes no sense to me. I guess it is some historic allusion? I thought it was a song about the dude's coming to realize that his girlfriend was an uptight person who kept unnecessary secrets from him (like the size of her stash of drugs) and who cultivated a high-society appearance (thus all of the references to diction and a focus on petty shit like Oxford commas).
I think my mishearing is better than the real song.
