Wow, yeah that would be an insanely crazy expansion of that theory. Currently it means the president being able to operate outside of any parameters within the executive branch. But expanding that to mean he now takes over something the Constitution specifically gives to the states alone would be ruling that we're now under a dictatorship. I'm sure the Elon Musks and Peter Thiels and tte other billionaires giving the lavish gifts and vacations to Thomas and Alito would love it, but I don't think the other conservatives on the court are ready yet to go that far. Sure, the Postmaster General got yeeted out of the Cabinet to prevent Presidential tomfoolery in mail operations, but the Board of Governors gets largely appointed by the President, which means that the President can fire any of them he chooses, 'cause none of them sit on the Fed.
