In case you are wondering why this all happened, Tucker Carlson can explain.

"There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."
"It's no secret that the great American pastime is no longer baseball. Now it's sanctimony." -- Guy Periwinkle, The Nix.

Globo homo huh? How does one join this cabal?

One of the more surreal aspects of this is that they plopped him in county lockup in Brooklyn. Seems like something out of a bad Netflix spy series. Like it would be episode 6 when everyone complains about it going off the rails. Or a DC comic book setup. Maduro begins running the cartel from the inside and enlists the help of the inmates at Arkham. This cast could do some crazy damage.

So I think part of the plan has to do with repatriation as well.
Venezuelan’s TPS stays has already been revoked, so their removal didn’t have any obstacles to begin with. If anything, having Venezuela temporarily at war or under martial law moght give them a path to apply for refugee status.

          From Gemini:

          Venezuela's Temporary Protected Status (TPS)
has largely ended, with both the 2021 and 2023 designations officially terminated by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in late 2025, following Supreme Court actions allowing the termination to take effect. While most benefits ceased in November 2025, some beneficiaries with specific employment authorization documents (EADs) or renewal receipts from early 2025 retain work authorization until October 2, 2026, but TPS itself is gone, meaning beneficiaries without other status face potential deportation and must seek other immigration pathways like refugee status.

People talked about Russians and Chinese, but the county with the largest military presence as ally was Cuba. I've read estimates between 20 and 50k soldiers and intelligence officers in the country and they a lot of responsibility to Maduro's security.
It also sounds like Cuba is claimed 32 of their people were killed.

As a man of leisure, I'm able to attend (online much of the time) Stanford classes and seminars. Wednesday afternoon Stanford's Center on Democracy, Development and the Rule of Law is presenting a panel discussion on Venezuela After Maduro featuring what looks like a knowledgable panel. It goes from 1-2:15 MT and is free. I'm looking forward to this one.

                  1. Declare Maduro the head of an organization called Cartel de los Soles.

                  2. Designate Cartel de los Soles as a foreign terrorist organization.

                  3. Launch military action against this organization based on the designation.

                  4. Quietly admit there is no such organization as Cartel de los Soles and try to include Tren de Agua in the narrative instead.

                        Why are we here?

                        Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

I’m the least knowledgeable person on if this whole thing is constitutional or an overall good thing. However, I work with a Venezuelan who is very accomplished and she has a lot of family still back in Venezuela. She is ecstatic about Maduro being taken out. In her words she was crying when she found out and she is still over the moon about it.

We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

daBrockie, you need to read that again. Grok is basically saying its not from Reuters, its from the NYT. It does NOT appear to be saying the underlying claims are untrue.
