I like James Talarico. I've listened to a number of interviews with him. And several of his state senate hearing statements and lines of questioning are poignant and very pragmatic. He certainly doesn't have the charisma or the political acumen of a Mayor Pete. But he could be good at helping to sway some moderate Christians to slide from center right to center left.Comment

The democratic party is currently polling at something like 34% approval - the lowest level in history. They need radical changes and new leadership.

He's way smarter than Beto. I like Talarico, and I am optimistic that he can be the radical change and new leadership that JL says the Texas Dems need. But it's a tough ask in that state. It passed in June in Texas and the schools have it up now. A federal court ruled it unconstitutional but only the handful of districts directly involved in that lawsuit have taken it down. There are a couple of other federal courts that have recently ruled the same in other states.Originally posted by Pelado View PostComment
