If frank said BYU's defense was shit this year and I said "I think it was above average", do you think he would call me a fascist or racist? Of course not. We would state our disagreement and move on. Likely because the vast majority on this board pull in the same direction: whatever direction makes BYU better. Why can't we have the same outlook towards our country?

I don't see anyone treating frank with kid gloves. In fact, I can't think of a poster (besides you) that has MORE pushback than frank. The two of you are diametrically opposite. Seriously, I think everyone on this board values honest and open discussion on all topics, and probably especially politics. Yes, people are passionate about their views. Thank GOD for that. But if you are passionate about your own views (and I think you definitely are), then you must allow others to be passionate about their views as well.

I take input from those who are wishing to have a constructive conversation and am willing to hear those comments. I have also been known to demonstrate my mixed feelings and support for areas that are not at all conservative and even expressed to be a social democrat and believe in these programs but feel it has been overrun and expanded to groups that it was never meant to be for. I have self-reflected and have expressed remorse. He will never do such things. Nor has he. How can you NOT see that..
