Targeting trans people through legislation , especially kids (which is aside from the debate on if it should happen) has led to increased bullying and assaults an ld suicides so maybe they should focus on the medical research and not creating legislation targeting <1% knowing the increase in suicides and bullying.

I don’t know, maybe a class in junior high school, where a teacher says, studies show 20% of you will experience gender dysphoria. That’s ok, you are normal and you will phase out of those feelings. A small percentage of you, 2% will experience possible lifelong gender dysphoria. And an even smaller percentage of that may decide to transition to your gender preference.

All of these things are ok, and we are here to help as you go through this confusing time.

Again as the only one here who speaks with a Dr. in the NHS system I was able to speak with this person 30 mins ago about these articles.

They said they’ve never been bullied. Theyve been encouraged to take a long term and methodical approach with children experiencing gender dysphoria. They’ve never experienced any medical professional actively encouraging a child to transition.

As per the Dutch study, it’s interesting to me the conservatives are pushing a study that ‘verifies’ that’s ~2% of kids experience serious and possibly life altering gender dysphoria. Almost as if it’s a real condition!

If only we had a person with millions of followers who could help carve a healthy discourse on how to assist those kids while also helping the 18% of families who have a child that goes through some intense feelings of unease surrounding identity as opposed to pretending they will be arrested if they misgender someone.

I know someone with a 6-yr-old kid and they are insistent that the kid identifies as a girl and are making a huge deal out of it, making everyone use pronouns, getting the kid into supportive therapy, dressing him in girls clothes, etc. Seems like a gigantic overreaction for a kid that young.

Some people shouldn’t be parents. I really don’t see much difference between that parent and the parent who beats the shit out of their kid.

Seems like a harsh response. But if the mom works at the high school and knowingly allowed her trans daughter to play on a girls team in direction violation of state law, what did she think would happen?
