Please no, what a lightweight. Not as bad as Sarah Palin but close.
But not evil like Ted Cruz.

Harris was in a relationship with Willie Brown, her suoervisor, at the time that Brown promoted her. Brown was also 30 years older than her. None of this matters today because Donald Trump is the other nominee and his ethics are worse. If the nominee were Mitt then the fact that she was promoted under an unethical scenario would have more teeth. But it doesn’t, because of Trump.
I didn't know the whole Willie Brown story so I had to look it up... and found this:

Oh, so that's she got the DA job.

Also, at least get your salacious details right. All of Ted's posts need need community notes.
In 1990, Harris was hired as a deputy district attorney in Alameda County, California, where she was described as "an able prosecutor on the way up".[56] In 1994, Speaker of the California AssemblyWillie Brown, who was then dating Harris, appointed her to the state Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board and later to the California Medical Assistance Commission.[56] Harris took a six-month leave of absence in 1994 from her duties, then afterward resumed working as prosecutor during the years she sat on the boards. Harris's connection to Brown was noted in media reportage as part of a pattern of California political leaders appointing "friends and loyal political soldiers" to lucrative positions on the commissions. Harris has defended her work.[56][57][58]
In February 1998, San Francisco district attorneyTerence Hallinan recruited Harris as an assistant district attorney.[59] There she became the chief of the Career Criminal Division, supervising five other attorneys, where she prosecuted homicide, burglary, robbery, and sexual assault cases – particularly three-strikes cases. In 2000, Harris reportedly clashed with Hallinan's assistant, Darrell Salomon,[60] over Proposition 21, which granted prosecutors the option of trying juvenile defendants in Superior Court rather than juvenile courts.[61] Harris campaigned against the measure, which passed. Salomon opposed directing media inquiries about Prop 21 to Harris and reassigned her, a de facto demotion. Harris filed a complaint against Salomon and quit.[62]
In August 2000, Harris took a job at San Francisco City Hall, working for city attorneyLouise Renne.[63] Harris ran the Family and Children's Services Division representing child abuse and neglect cases. Renne endorsed Harris during her D.A. campaign.[64]
In 2002, Harris prepared to run for District Attorney of San Francisco against Hallinan (the incumbent) and Bill Fazio... Harris won with 56 percent of the vote, becoming the first person of color elected as district attorney of San Francisco.[75]
Harris ran unopposed for a second term in November 2007.

I like the story I found better... Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board, the California Medical Assistance Commission, DA. All the same thing, right? Who writes this wikipedia stuff anyway?

At any other time and on any other campaign, the writer of that release would be fired. It would never see the light of day. But it is fairly obvious who the writer is.
I wonder if Trump isn't exerting fuller control over campaign communications and strategy. He's gotta be very upset over where he stands right now: lost all of the post assassination attempt/convention positive momentum, his VP pick is quickly becoming a pariah, Biden is out and Kamala is in and is capturing all of the attention and excitement, the polls are moving away from his direction. He's likely blaming his campaign team and exerting more control. He will insist on approving all outbound communication. Hence, this comes out.
If true, that does not bode well.
Kamala is really getting under his skin.

Because Beto only loses state wide and national elections. Dudes never won outside of his liberal district.

That ad is what I was talking about. She’s got some really bad sound bites and positions. She didn’t have a primary to smooth it all out. The GOP is going to keep her on her heals and it’s going to get ugly.
Like I’ve said before, she absolutely has to win all three of Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania. All the GOP has to do is flood PA with her support of the green new deal and her fracking ban position and they’ll win.

That seemed more like red meat for a MAGA audience. And too long,
But you are correct that they have opportunities and ammunition to hit her. I just don't know if they have the message discipline to do it. Are they doing any of this right now? Are they buying ad time to flood the zone with the type of info you suggest? This is the time to define her. So far all we've seen is Trump calling her names and other Repubs making crude, misogynist comments about her. And the Hillbilly being the Hillbilly. Between the two, those are going to much mor play with the general populace.
