lol dude is a scumbag. Of course he's riding the tailcoats of cases of actual women who were trafficked, claiming that he 'rescued' them. Millions of dollars funneled his little organization, which sniffs around and 'provides survivor services' to women who have escaped their situation so he can act like he's helped people physically escape sex trafficking. The names, countries of origin, and--yes-- the ages of the victims are changed to drum up donations. Doesn't hurt that he drops his LDS background in there to get Utah suckers on board, either.

(Both Ballard’s wife Katherine and one of the couple’s children are on the payroll, as is Emily Evans, Ballard’s sister, who works as their communications officer, and Mark Blake, the organization's director, who is Ballard’s brother-in-law.)

A few days ago somebody posted on the movie. The producers of Sound of Freedom have been fighting various entities, including Disney, for the last five years to get this movie in theaters. Why? What could be more Christ like than rescuing children from child predators? Satan is fighting hard to prevent people from seeing this movie. We also have someone on this site trying to convince people to not see the movie. He goes by the name Zip. He comes off like a CNN plant. The movie is powerful and very well done and is well worth your time to see

Multiple things can be true simultaneously:

Human trafficking can be real, and child trafficking in particular is a scourge.

This grifting dumbass has done nothing to reduce that, may have increased the demand for it, additionally traumatized survivors, and did it solely for the purpose of grifting from religious communities, making him a wanker of Mike Lee proportions.

Also, just to be clear it is usually labeled as "child sex trafficking." It seems like human trafficking that is occurring for cheap labor to keep their nice houses and hotels they go to on vacation at a lower cost is not really that big of a concern. Just saying.

I don't have first hand knowledge, but I understand that it's a fictionalized account of Ballard's story.
