There are tariffs imposed on solar panels imported from China to the U.S. In June of 2022, Comrade Joe granted a 2 year waiver to Malaysia, Cambodia, Vietnam, and Thailand so they would be exempt from any tariffs. A report last year discovered that some major Chinese solar manufacturers were using these 4 countries to avoid US tariffs.
