I find it hypocritical though for the left to be wringing their hands over this now when they said nary a word when it was going on during Bush's Presidency. As a matter of fact I seem to remember him being called a liar and war mongerer by some very prominant democrats.

Calling Bush a liar (when he did lie) and a war-mongerer (when he plunged us into an unnecessary war in Iraq) are a far cry from comparing Obama to Hitler. The Obama-Hitler pictures (which I see all over the place here in Orange County) are disgusting.

What I think the left sees (and I'm not sure if you would consider me part of the left or not) is an anti-big government movement that is growing at an incredible pace. And if recent history has shown us anything about those with a strong anti-government sentiment it is that a few, extreme individuals are capable of pulling off some incredibly heinous acts in the name of patriotism. Honestly, there is some fear that it may happen again.

Let's at least call it what it really is - an anti-big-democrat-controlled government movement.
