    Detroit was already in the crapper. McGinn and Nickels have taken one of the finest cities in the world and are turning it into a mess. Nothing, absolutely nothing gets done in that city. Seattle keeps getting dirtier and uglier every year. The schools are suffering. The roads are suffering. It's a real shame. Seattle is on the verge of losing Boeing altogether. If they're not careful, they will start losing more large corporations in the near future.

      By contrast, Oklahoma City is on the upswing thanks to a 1% sales tax that conservative Okie voters perpetually approve because they've seen how it is transforming the city. This place is becoming a happening town. That's how we stole your NBA team.

      I guess taxes and big government might not be all bad.
