Anyone catch her last night on Leno?

The worst interviewer on television asking the dumbest 'news analyst' questions. The best part of the 'interview' was Palin lambasting the 'mainstream media' for reporting opinion under the guise of hard news.

“I think that the mainstream media is quite broken. I think there needs to be a fairness and balance. That's why I'm doing Fox."

Palin then proceeded to try her hand at stand-up.

It is somewhat sad that the woman doesn't realize people are laughing at her, not with her.

I continue to be amazed/amused how bent out of shape people get about Palin. I don't see how she merits anything beyond complete indifference at worst or a modest enjoyment of her personality at best.

I don't understand your emoticon. I can actually understand that quote. Usually she not only mixes her metaphors, she mutilates them first.

I haven't been around long enough to have heard that old saying, I guess.

To her credit, she actually nailed the stand-up part of her appearance last night. I was really impressed. If you compare her to seasoned comedians, no she did not do well. But if you were to take almost any other politician and have him or her run off 6 or 7 caps in a row like that, not sure they could do it so casually. Palin was believable as a comedienne last night. Could you imagine Obama or McCain or Mitt trying to tell several jokes like that? Yikes.

I think her gig on Fox is more up her alley. She is not a political leader, but she is a great media personality.

She merits it because there is a more than significant chance that somebody might actually vote for her for elected office. It has happened before.

My wife, who is a political cousin to Hallelujah, except minus all of the hate and bigotry and stuff, is terrified that Palin will get anywhere near the nomination. She just hates to see women so degraded - by a woman.

As has been demonstrated here on more than one occasion, folksy rural aphorisms are not your forte. Neither are camping, enjoying anything outdoors that doesn't involve massive quantities of undrinkable water, or experimenting upon the words "silence is golden." That's okay. We still like you, mostly.

All of that aside, I agree with you on the Fox gig. I pray she takes it and becomes a talking head, instead of a talking head with leadership aspirations.
