I think S Powell is a creep and probably killed her, but after reading the article today charging him with voyeurism and child porn, the charges are bogus and will probably all be thrown out. He has thousands of photos of women, a few of whom appear to be underage (hence the child porn charges). The photos all seem to be of women in public places, and clothed appropriately. Okay, so he zoomed closeup on their breasts, etc. Creepy, but not criminal.

Attn: West Valley Police: Your regular media releases about how you are imminently going to arrest Steven Powell because you have a smoking gun are not working. He is not cracking. He is not confessing. Pretty soon he won't take anything you release to the media seriously.

Except for the ones of young girls in their bathroom. I am no lawyer, but I would imagine those ones could cause a problem if the description is accurate.

Some of the pictures are of little girls ages 8 and 9 sitting in a bath tub as well as sitting on the toilet. This guy is messed up. Apparently they are neighbor children that moved away a few years ago.

Asked to explain the 14 counts of Voyeurism Troyer said, “Well, we found thousands of pictures of little girls and kids in playgrounds – close-up pictures of body parts that shouldn’t be photographed. And then what really capped it was we found a lot of photos of little girls in bathtubs and showers and using the toilet. Through our investigation it was determined they were neighbors of his and so we now unfortunately have a couple of little girls out there and a very distraught parent whose photographs are out there.”

Family Who Moved Into Former Powell Home Says Mysterious Events Forced Them Out


(KUTV) The family who is currently renting the home formerly owned by Josh and Susan Powell says they have moved out.


Joanna Aeosana says since she and her family moved in two months ago numerous mysterious events have occurred inside the house. She says the company who leased the house to her never told her about the history of the home.


In 2009, Susan Cox Powell disappeared from the home and was never seen again. Her husband Josh Powell was the only person of interest in the case, but later ended up killing himself and the couples' two sons in a house fire in Washington State.


Aeosana says she was unaware of the story of the Powell's and says almost from the moment her family moved in, strange stings have been happening.


"I hear people crying when I'm showering," she told 2News.


Aeosana also says the garage door opens and closes on its own. Most recently, she said her 1-year-old son was taking to an empty swing in the front yard of the home saying, "Go away, leave me alone."


Aoesana says she didn't know about the history of the home until a neighbor told her. In the last few days, she and her family have moved out and are asking that the company who leased out the home, American Homes 4 Rent, help them find a different home, or allow them to get out of the lease. The home is being held in a trust as the details of the estate are being worked out. American Homes 4 Rent is the agent in charge of renting the home.


Real estate agents are not required to disclose the personal history of the home, but Aeosana says they should have a moral or ethical obligation to do so, especially in the case of the Powell home.


The Aoesana family says they have moved out of the home.


"I believe they should of, they should have told me," said Aoesana. "I just don't want to be in there."


2News tried to get in touch with American Homes 4 Rent, but they did not return our calls.
