Yeah, but how practical is that? You are going to maneuver through your house in the middle of the night taking out multiple armed intruders with a rifle? You gotta go with the shotty in that situation dude, followed by your sidearm to finish the job if necessary. I'm thinking a Mossberg 590 or Remington 870 should do the trick. Pistol grip. Butt stock is just too bulky and awkward.

Good one two punch. Shotgun, 18" barrel. Followed by a 9mm or .40 hollow point.
My guess is that once the intruder hears the shotgun action, you will most likely have to clean up after he craps his pants as he / she runs out your front door.

The slower the hollow point, the better. More damage to multiple body organs.Originally posted by Colly Wolly View PostI've got some Speer Gold Dots. I've heard that terminal ballistic studies are inconclusive when comparing the stopping power of FMJ vs. hollow points. The purpose of a hollow point is to reduce the risk of harm to other people, not necessarily injure or stop an assailant faster/better.

I was just giving IPU a hard time.Originally posted by Hallelujah View PostWhat do you recommend if you stand to pee?
If it were me, I like the stopping power of the .45, but the cost of the 9mm, therefore by preference would be the .40
I am looking at a Sig .40 and a Taurus .45 USP at the local gun shop right now.I'm your huckleberry.

I've shot both the 9mm and .40 and the recoil is more on the .40 and thus less effective (at least for me) to get multiple shots off in the target area. And the cost of ammo is less. So I'll continue to squat.

Knock it off. This board has enough problems without a dose of middle-age lechery.

The cost of the .40 and the 9mm is equal. The recoil is less, but so is the stopping power.
Feel free to continue to squat, I would hate to break your routine.I'm your huckleberry.
