I'm sorry, but how can you nominate a guy who was in office for 2 weeks, and then give him the award when he is 9 months in his Presidency and the US is in complete shambles...


In my mind, this disrespects all those who were nominated and more deserving of this award. Those who are actually making real changes and differences in people lives...

I would have given the Prize to Greg Mortenson, but the benefit of Obama having won it is that we're treated to wonderful posts on Cougarboard. I'm hoping for a panel discussion comprised of River City Coug, Lifi, and a few others. I would just say, the prize is as meaningful as if the Motion Picture Academy gave him an Oscar for his role in the campaign as a moderate.

Why does the far right get so upset when a bunch of liberals hand out an award to one of their own. It just makes them look petty and dumb.
