I think he’s mistaken about simple carbs. I think boogers are more protein than carbs.

Which simple carbs are you consuming?Originally posted by Green Monstah View PostGood results. I’m down 20 pounds since January. I’ve stuck to intermittent fasting for 16 hours. And I wake up and do kettlebell workouts for 40 minutes every weekday morning.
I just extended the IF to 17 hours to try to slow down the plateau effect.
I still need to tighten up on my simple carbs consumption, but overall, that has gone much better as well.

So just a normal grifter, not a slimeball one.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View Post
I don't think he is a slimeball grifter. I do think he fudges data and overstates the role of {fill in the blank}insulin resistance in weight loss to a certain degree. Still a super interesting book and a lot of it makes great sense.

I'm not supposed to fizz up anything but water but..... I do it anyway.Originally posted by Copelius View Post
Speaking of Sodastream. We got my oldest one for his birthday last month. He has been having fun with all kinds of juices, since I made sure to get him the one that you aren't limited to just carbonating water and adding flavor. He made the comment tonight that juice is just better carbonated, to which I added that everything is better carbonated, and that I bet even milk is. So he mixed me some up to try. I took a swig and said I liked it. So my two boys that were home unbelieveingly gave it a try. They both agreed that while they didn't think it should be good it is. Food and drink experimentation is fun.

I also use it to fizz up some half-strength powdered Gatorade Zero.

I, too, have started dialing back the caffeine after 5pm. I like Fresca. Especially the peach variant. Also, I've really been enjoying Barq's zero sugar the last year or so. I think it's the best ZS root beer now that I can't get IBC ZS anymore (not since CovidOriginally posted by falafel View Post
Coke Zero (Sugar) is a gift from the Almighty. And for non-caffeine hours, Fresca is the perfect change-up.
). Definitely better than A&W or Mug's ZS offerings.
I actually appreciate both. Definitely distinct flavors. But original Coke Zero (circa 2007 maybe?) was really, really good. It was better than either DC or the current CZS iteration. Wish they hadn't messed with the recipe.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostCoke Zero sucks. Diet Coke is the nectar of the gods. I will fight anyone who disagrees.

Better or worse?Originally posted by falafel View Post
I had a concussion 5 or 6 years ago after going off a jump in the terrain park at Brighton. Apparently no one in my group saw the spectacular incident, they just came around the other side of the hill and saw me sprawled out with a cut on my nose from where the helmet smashed it. I can only imagine how bad it would have been without the helmet.
I also think that concussion came with some minor personality/mood changes, if I'm being honest.
