How about running in the rain with the 305? Is it safe? I know it says it's waterproof up to 3m but they don't recommend swimming with the unit. Is it rain proof?

What now you want to steal my screen name?

Can one order a replacement charger? I have a 305 from when I was running a lot 3-4 years ago, finally found it the other day, but without a charger.

Lebowski posted about this bike mount and I picked one up a while ago. It's really cool--it essentially replaces your cycling computer (you can even get a cadence attachment). I still use it mostly for running but I throw it on my mountain bike too now--the quick release is really easy.

I've run in the rain without a problem.

Yes. I wrote to a Garmin tech about this and he said no problem. I'm told lots of triathletes wear them for all three legs, including swimming.

Holy crap, is this thing really this HUGE on your arm?

The size never bothers me. I don't really notice it when I put it on, and when I get running, I definitely don't notice a thing.
                        Not that, sickos.

I might as well strap my blackberry to my arm. That thing is gigantic!

Between the chest strap, fuel belt w/ 40 oz of water/gatorade, two doses of shot blocks, iPod, earphones and sunglasses, the last thing that bothers me is the wrist mainframe that is the 305.

EDIT: Falafel, it's smaller than a blackberry by a good bit. But I understand your concern, what with your dainty size and all.
Awesomeness now has a name. Let me introduce myself.

Sadly, you're not too far off the mark. That thing, as big as it is, would look like a blackberry on my tiny wrists.

Actually, my wife has one too and hasn't had any problems with it. She's taller than you by a good bit, but still has small wrists. And it doesn't look that huge.

Like everybody else, I don't notice it at all when I'm running.
