If I wait until Jan. 1st, my employer will match my contribution (which I'll do).

I ate like crap on Thursday, so it felt good to get moving on Friday. Great idea, PAC.

It helped that the last mile someone turned onto my course and was about 20 yards ahead of me. He was running faster than a 8 min/mile pace so I tried to keep up, which I couldn't but it made me push the last mile and gave me a decent pace.
This sounds really familiar! Haven't run a 10K since the end of July, and the only running I've done since Labor day was due to the Holiday Challenge beginning. After a couple of hours of basketball Wednesday and a couple hours of football Thursday morning, every muscle was screaming NO! I figured a nice steady run might be nice to work some of that out. Felt like I was about finished at one point, and checking the garmin found I had covered a little over 2 miles. Crap. Overall, feeling pretty good about finishing. Certainly not my fastest time ever, but not too shabby.

I really enjoy when this happens because I've got that silent competitive nature that PAC can attest has been passed my both members of the PH couple down to our 2nd daughter. I was recently passed by a going (unbeknownst to me) running intervals so I pushed my last 1/2 mile at a pace nearly 2 minutes faster than my usual uptempo pace. I was whooped after that, but it felt good.

And I finally submitted to the spreadsheet via laptop. Impressive times, folks, and congrats to all trotters no matter the distance!

It was still Friday on Midway Island when you ran, so of course this counts. Great effort!

    I understand that concept.

As expected, the Pineys put up some great times. But then, when contrasted with the rest of the CS community, everyone put up great times. happyone and Parrothead (who apparently ran double the required distance) will get credit for having participated, even though they haven't logged their times. And we haven't heard from Eddie or originalsocal yet; it's hoped they'll report in.

bg, given your accident and resultant layoff, that's an impressive achievement. I know from past experience you'd crush me under ordinary circumstances. But it's not about the time; it's great you're out and moving again.

Put up your time on the spreadsheet, or if you're unable to do so, give me your age and I'll do it for you using the Strava info.

And chrisrenrut, it's a shame we weren't running together, although in spirit I suppose we were.

And Mrs. Topper is out front; the world awaits the Piney family and P'dip.

I finished my 10k just a little while ago. I met some friends about half through and limped to the finish. I am in lousy shape, thanks to my little 2 month lay-off, so this was by far the farthest I've run in probably 6 months. Still, it felt good to join you guys and gals in suffering on this most thankful day.

Wife and 14 year old son did the official turkey trot in our town which usually has about 2,000 runners.

I beat my previous, humble best that I put up five years ago when I first started running. Interestingly, I feel so much better right now than I did back then when I just wanted to collapse for the rest of the day. Especially after watching The Theory of Everything last night, I'm more thankful than ever for being healthy and able to engage in pretty much any activity that interests me.

    Happy T-Day everybody.
I finished with the exact same time as you. Age adjusted you smoked me. Problem is, I can't enter anything on the spreadsheet from my iPad for some reason.

Age- a few months shy of 43
