  • Holy crap, I guess I better get on the finish for this thing. With work blocking CS and also blocking Google docs it's been tough for me to follow the competition this year. Looks like a good year in which we all put in an impressive 2,247 miles. If you are counting at home, that is the equivalent of 39,587 times that Oregon would have to return a Kaelin Clay fumble on the one inch line. Pretty impressive and no doubt Oregon would get there if they played Utah a couple more times each year. Now for the winners:

    2014 Winners:
Most miles: First place goes to Topper, who put in a well rounded 324 miles in came in the top 10 in each category. Very strong showing and nice job
Second place goes to happyone. He's no stranger to the leaderboard but just missed out on a top 3 finish last year. Nice to see him on the podium this year.
Third place goes to imanihonjin, who I believe is a rookie this year. Way to kick some trash and you'll obviously be a competitor to top spot next year.

Most consistent: Copelius – No one was as consistent as Topper or happyone except for Copelius. It takes some balls to get out and exercise pretty much every day so hats off to you.

Most improved: KatyLied - Yeah that's right, a girl gets a nod for an award. She's just a rookie in the competition but did some good work, plus she has a nice neck!

Charity: Topper has the rights to name a charity to which we can donate. I think PAC had a suggestion somewhere in this thread, or maybe in his 10K thread and Topper is fine to pick that one or any other one he chooses. Just let us all know by posting it in this thread.

Again, nice work this year. It's always good to have some motivation to get out and move it during the holidays!
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

    • Any charity recommended by PAC makes sense to me.
"Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."

Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.

      • Some of BYU's greatest athletes went down with injuries this year. While I was not one of them, I'll be back next year after I get this IT band fixed.

        • Crap. I totally missed the last couple weeks of this. I never would have caught Topper but may have had a better showing sans the move and such. Oh well. Next year.
Awesomeness now has a name. Let me introduce myself.

          • I forgot about the challenge as well after a couple of weeks. Part of my problem is that most of CS surfing is on the phone or ipad using tapatalk. For some reason you can't easily access the spreadsheet through tapatalk. I didn't put up big numbers this season, but they were certainly better than the challenge showed.
