St George has a rep for being really tough. I'm not sure I'm brave enough to try it

Our current accumulated distance is 2234 miles and that puts us well past Logan, UT (I did a separate search for Times Square to Aggieville).
WHere are we now? Are we there yet?

I've got a few things to upload so we're a bit further than anticipated.

Calf is 100%. Unfortunately, I've been alternately sick or on business trips for the past couple of weeks.

Not quite. Without taking into account the sealed portion of the record (P'dip's as yet unrecorded miles), as of this morning, we were running/riding/swimming past the Capitol Building in Sacramento and later this morning when I hit the road I'll be running on the Yolo Causeway to Davis. We should hit Willie Mays Plaze at AT&T Park by the end of the day tomorrow, a full week before kickoff. Everyone can take BART to our house, clean up, and eat a variety of Mrs. PAC's homemade fudge, caramels, spiced nuts and Christmas cookies as we wait for Santa. You've earned it.

The sealed portion is not impressive. I've had a bad month and apparently am human.

                  • first off,

                    Congrats to JIC and eldinte

                    secondly

trudged 4.3 miles threw the snow today - 4 to 6 inches it seems like (any extra credit? ) plus put in 4 miles on a treadmill at the gym.

I may be small, but I'm slow.

A veteran - whether active duty, retired, or national guard or reserve is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to, "The United States of America ", for an amount of "up to and including my life - it's an honor."

You forgot that when we all stopped by YOhio's house sometime back in November we made a joint decision to head South so we could get the Dayton stink off of us as quick as possible. There's no better way of doing that than to roll through Houston, which we did back in early December. At least we got to witness the depressing air of Columbus when Urban and tOSU finally played a decent football team and got beat. Since our turn South, we have witnessed the following:

                      - Being shot at multiple times in Cincinnati (Phippy apparently got hit by a stray bullet and still hasn't recovered)
                      - Caught some great food/music in Nashville
                      - Visited a Wal-mart in Arkansas (for some odd reason this was on everyone's bucket list)
                      - Home taught LMJ's family in Texarkana
                      - Visited Phippy's work location in Houston, familiarly known as GreensGunspoint
                      - Introduced everyone to MJ so she can stop thinking I have make-believe friends.....which is actually half true
                      - Ran past UT and thumbed our nose at them for having bested them in both basketball and football (I was wearing maroon the day we ran through Austin)
                      - Begrudgingly went through Lubbock (I think this is where DH's swim lap was counted)

As of right now we are just past Flagstaff, Arizona with about 600 miles left to go. This means we can't let down and need some serious miles down the home stretch so we can make it there by kickoff (which is thankfully later in the evening). Basically we have to average 75 to 80 miles/day to make it in time for kickoff.

So sorry everyone, no skinny dipping at PAC's house because we've got some miles to put in if we want to reach our goal. Maybe after the game we can go over and ransack PAC's mansion....I've got dibs on the bowling alley in the basement!

We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

                      • I think I'm done for a few weeks. 6.5 miles into a run this afternoon I slipped on some ice and dislocated my knee. The knee I've have 7 knee surgeries on, including three for dislocation. I'm going to take it very easy until I get the swelling down and regain some stability in the joint. I'll probably start doing my own therapy on it in the next few days. Total bummer.

Major bummer. I trust this won't affect post-Christmas travel plans.... Hope the rehab goes quickly and well.

Sorry to hear that. I'm out too, although I wasn't really ever in contention. Slipped and broke my fibula yesterday. Ice is bad news.

Hopefully not. It's a non weight bearing bone so it should heal pretty quickly. I worked yesterday on it, but by the end of the day was hating life and last night was pretty bad, but I'm much better this morning. I'm supposed to work tonight but I'm just going to work half, and then I have a few days off. By then, I'm hoping to be pretty good. Thanks for asking.
